Steph: Liking the idea of the beach on Saturday. Anyone interested in a day trip?
Jody: if y’all go, count me in! I can’t pass up sister-time (or the opportunity to hang out with C-man)
Jody: p.s. if chris hasn’t seen the ocean before or a NC beach, i almost feel like we owe it to him……………….
Steph: We can see how you feel …
Jody: B and C are you down?
Bridget: I have two big papers due next week so I was planning on chugging through those tomorrow… but I will think about it!! I can’t believe Chris hasn’t seen the ocean before… almost makes me cry inside!!
Steph: hahaha he HAS seen the ocean many times. Please don’t cry inside, Bridget. This is just for fun, not for the betterment of Chris. Don’t feel bad (anyone) if you can’t make it!
Jody: Oh GOOD. He isn’t as deprived as I thought he was… Like I said, I’m up for it… keep me posted…
Corinne: Chris has never seen the ocean? I hope he isn’t scared of waves. How did everyone see this email chain about ten times except me???
Steph: haha! You missed the memo: chris has in fact seen the Atlantic AND the Pacific (somehow Jody and Bridget let their stereotypes of Midwesterners drive their interpretations of my original email)! Chris is not scared of waves. In fact, he likes them so much he thought it would be fun to hit up the beach briefly on Saturday. We can go with or without you all — but would love for you to join us!
Jody: I believe mom may have said she thought chris had never seen the ocean…
